This post literally does what it say’s on the tin. It just provides you with a list of really really exceptional albbums (in my opinion.)   Arctic Monkeys- AM I’m sorry but I just feel like all the hype this album got, it deserved and then more some. It definitely wasn’t overrated, in my opinion its the best album out since I’ve been born because every track is just flawless. The Weeknd- Beauty…

Hehe, a sneeky drop dead Fred quote to kick-start this all back off. I’m back! I deleted all my old posts and I’m starting again! I haven’t used my blog since 2016 but I’m paying £22 a month for this damn domain I better make the most of it. I decided ‘beauty blogging’ wasn’t working for me, I’m crap at taking photos of my makeup, explaining whether something is good or bad and frequently…

Sunday was concluded with a ride out to blackpool we wanted to chill in the arcade, get some grub, some doughnuts, and heading home.
It’s my idea of perfect. I mean it’s full of some right… uhhh… “characters” but it’s an easy fun day out for sure!

We set off after a morning session of badminton, stopped at halfords to oil the mini, and hit the road!

It’s about an hour drive out, and the first one who spots the tower gets an ice cream! Although we both kinda screamed it at the same time, and totally adamant on being the winner so nobody got ice cream BUT WE GOT DOUGHNUTS!

When we got there we were already hungry so we went and got food at the arcade which means Freya takes her phone out for selfies!

And can I get the eyebrow comment out of the way… I didn’t have time after badminton to do much for the brows and unfortunately they can’t be pulled off for messy/cute so why I’m posting them on the internet I don’t know! Also, Connor was only just forming his funny face before I snapped the photo which looks funnier than a funny face would!

Then we went into a few arcades and went on a few machines, but the miniature hello kitty air hockey table definitely won for us! We also found matching bracelets, but apparently wearing a pink bracelet with Freya on it isn’t cool… who knew?!

When two adults are on their knees playing on a hello kitty air hockey table having more fun than any other child in there, they’re living life right… right?! I’d never seen Connors face light up so much in an arcade!

Then the highlight for me was walking along the pier together. The air is fresh, it was a perfect time of day. The sun was not quite setting but the lighting seemed dull and I was totally in my element taking photos for the first time properly in months!

Then on the ride home, we saw not only a double rainbow, but a FULL rainbow. We even saw the end of the rainbow! No pot of gold though… Only a terrible quality photo.

A classic seaside date and we retreated home with some rock, because you have to! Connor treated me to… EVERYTHING and the doughnut man asked if it was honeymoon or first date! It was a perfect day for me.

  • Hey Lovelies,

I have one word for you… KNACKERED!!!

This weekend has definitely been more eventful than my usual but I thought I’d write about it because I absolutely loved every second of it!

    Saturday:

    Capture
    q
    e
    w

We headed out to EDC to kick it back in the Kinetic Field.

I didn’t get many pictures or videos because I was completely in the moment lost by the music. I’ve never been to an EDM gig before, I’m used to the heavy mosh pits of heavy metal, but I’ve always loved a good drop and I definitely wasn’t disappointed!

When we got there we pitched up and headed into the Milton Keynes Bowl where we got some food from an overpriced stall (the worst bit about a festival) and then went to the Kinetic Field (main stage) to catch Don Diablo. Then we saw Martin Solveig before pushing our way to the front for Eric Prydz and watched Oliver Heldens from the side while taking a food break.
Later we went back into the crowd for Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike which was my personal favourite act and highlight of the weekend, it was epic!
After that it was Martin Garrix and we took another food break then but still listened to the first half of his set by the side of the bowl.
We took a wonder for the second half and stuck our head in the other stages but got back to catch the first half of Axwell A Ingrosso before wandering off to catch the middle of Pendulum.

We then made it back to the main stage to get a comfortable spot in the middle of the hill for Avicii!!! Let me just say, the guys on tech crew for Avicii have a strong 10/10 from me, it was absolutely sweeeeeet and the sound engineers did a great job of getting the music to the back of the bowl, as someone who was rubbish at sound engineering in college I take my hat off to them!

What was great was the shape of the field itself. No matter where you’re stood or sat on the hill you can hear and see just fine, it’s super cool how it’s been moulded and perfect for festivals!

To close it off they had a 5 minute closing ceremony which is a techies chance to show what they have and a pyrotechnics guy’s chance to set fireworks off to his heart’s content! It was a great means to the end of a sweet day and I’d be lying if I said that sat in work, I wished I was back in that field, despite how cold it was during the closing ceremony!

All in all, I think we did really well making the most of the day seeing as many acts as possible and it was definitely a nicer festival experience than Download 2015 although I do wish to one day return to castle Donington for Download in the near future.

The camping experience was divine compared to most festivals, it was so safe, secure, and quiet which was definitely unexpected. I definitely recommend EDC if you’re thinking of going to an EDM festival 100% and hope the lineup next year urges me to buy another ticket!

Normally that would be an eventful enough weekend BUT then on the Sunday we had other plans too!

    Sunday:

    t
    r

On the Sunday we headed out to Bletchley Park because it was 10 minutes away from the Milton Keynes Bowl and we couldn’t miss the opportunity! Connor has been saying he’s wanted to go for so long so we headed up and spent the day exploring the place and sitting at Alan Turing’s desk!!!

The experience was fascinating, and the cafe by the mansion did the best Quiche which made the day even better. Food definitely makes everything better, right?
There was so much for looking at, even as we were leaving we found places to go quickly explore by the exit door. It was ram packed full with hands on exhibits and information about the events of WW2 and the importance of code breakers.

It definitely opened my eyes further after watching the Imitation game (which I definitely recommend) a few days prior coincidentally and I mean… come on! Standing in the same room that Benedict Cumberbatch has acted in is a real bonus coming from a massive wholock fan!

If you’re ever in the area, I definitely recommend heading up to Bletchley Park for the experience and extra knowledge, if not just for a fun day out. I definitely learned some stuff and the attention to detail intrigued me to no ends!

… So when I said that I had a feeling my life was about to take off and I was going to build some experiences for once, I was definitely right to follow my instinct and start a blog to write it all down!

    TTFN xx

From EDC to Bletchley Park Hey Lovelies, I have one word for you… KNACKERED!!! This weekend has definitely been more eventful than my usual but I thought I’d write about it because I absolutely loved every second of it!

The hunt for a happy head

    image
Hey lovelies, I thought I’d write a blog post because I’ve been mixing up my hair recently and I thought I’d document it on the way. Up until last November (2015) I was head first into the plunge of crazy colours and never having my hair a natural colour. My main colour was red, I love red hair and out of all the colours I’ve ever dyed it, I always strayed back to red! I decided in November to…

    Those payday treats…

Hey lovelies, I thought I’d do a mini- haul on the products I treated myself to this week. I get paid weekly so I often treat myself to at least one beauty product on friday, even if I try not to!!! This week I sat browsing the web looking for stuff I wanted, and by 12pm I was doing really well to have not bought anything, but then post dinner time I found myself on boots and I already had stuff…
